Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience operating excavators
Minimum 5 years of experience performing road deactivation and reactivation
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong ability to read and understand maps, site plans, and layouts
Solid mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform routine equipment maintenance
Positive attitude with a strong commitment to safety
Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
Physically fit and capable of working on uneven terrain and in outdoor environments
Team-oriented with a willingness to assist where needed

Nice To Haves

Experience operating additional heavy equipment is considered an asset

Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently operate excavators and other heavy equipment
Perform road deactivation and reactivation work according to project plans
Work independently with minimal supervision, maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards
Read and interpret maps, plans, and layouts to complete work accurately
Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform routine maintenance
Complete work as directed by site supervisors and project requirements
Assist with general job setup, site cleanup, and material movement as needed
Uphold company policies, core values, and a strong safety culture at all times
