About The Position

Kidco Construction is seeking a skilled Excavator Operator for their Earthworks Division for the 2026 season. The role involves operating excavators on civil earthworks projects, including fine-grade finishing with GPS, efficient operation of large excavators, and loading haul trucks with rock. Experience in residential subdivision excavation is considered an asset. The ideal candidate is reliable, punctual, safety-conscious, and a team player.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience operating excavators on civil earthworks projects.
• Fine-grade finishing experience using GPS.
• Efficiently operate excavators ranging from 300 to 1250 in size.
• Experienced with bulking and efficiently loading rock and haul trucks.
• Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in their work.
• Works well in a team environment and is a team player.
• Has reliable transportation and a valid Class 5 driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in residential subdivision excavation.
• Safety certifications (e.g., Ground Disturbance Level 2 Certification).

Responsibilities
