About The Position
Master is looking for Excavation Technicians to safely and skillfully operate heavy equipment to complete a variety of projects, including locating and repairing broken water and sewer lines, installation of new septic systems, and many other types of projects.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6 months excavation or general labor experience
- CDL needed but willing to help with meeting this requirement within a 6 month timeframe
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs., work outdoors, and handle physical labor daily
- Comfortable working in trenches, crawlspaces, and around heavy equipment
- Must pass background check and drug screening
Nice To Haves
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred
Responsibilities
- site preparation, trenching, and backfilling on excavation jobs
- Hand dig in areas with limited machine access as needed
- Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment
- Spot and guide equipment operators to maintain jobsite safety
- Clean and maintain tools, trailers, and equipment after use
- Follow all safety protocols, signage requirements, and dig regulations
- Support plumbers and operators with pipe placement, measurements, and inspections
- Attend required training and jobsite safety meetings
