About The Position

The main duties of an Excavation Install Apprentice include assembling, connecting, and constructing pipe systems for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains. The apprentice will ensure the ground is prepped and trenches are dug for the pipes, align pipes, and seal joints together with cement or glue. Apprentices may also grade trenches and culverts, position pipes, or seal joints, primarily focusing on the physical installation of pipelines in trenches to create functional piping systems.

Requirements

• Pass a pre-employment background check.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Maintain a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assembling, connecting, and constructing pipe systems for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains.
• Ensuring the ground is prepped and trenches are dug for the pipes.

• Positioning pipes.
