About The Position

Reporting to the Manager, the exam Proctor will assist in providing professional, consistent, and secure testing services to TJC students, as well as to individuals in the community. In order to provide an efficient and courteous work environment, the exam Proctor must be able to work and interact well with students, staff, and faculty. The hours for this position are varied. The Test Proctor will need to be flexible and able to work evening and Saturday shifts on occasion. This is a part-time position and can work up to 18 hours per week.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to lift at least 25lbs and stand for up to an hour or more as needed.
  • Must be able to easily navigate testing areas to administer exams and serve test takers.
  • Moderate: moderate physical exertion required by intermittent periods of frequent walking or standing.
  • Must exhibit a sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of staff and students and to staff and students with disabilities.
  • Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of each employee.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce testing policies and procedures firmly but courteously.
  • Monitor students' and community members’ testing sessions.
  • Returning completed academic tests to instructors.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the testing rooms.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
