About The Position

This position is under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Manager and the indirect supervision of the General Manager, located at The Stables Casino. The role involves controlling EVS operations to inspect assigned areas and ensure the cleanliness of the casino and public area standards are met. Key responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and sanitation of the Casino and public areas, ensuring the team follows safety protocols, and responding to cleaning or grounds keeping requests from other departments. The position also requires identifying and reporting cleaning supply and equipment needs to the Maintenance Manager, assuring prompt and courteous service to all guests, and maintaining cleanliness of casino, restrooms, and offices by vacuuming carpets, emptying trash, wiping down trash cans, dusting all areas, and cleaning window glass. Additionally, the role involves operating and maintaining various cleaning equipment, ensuring work areas and equipment are free of safety violations, and reporting hazardous conditions or broken equipment to management.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age
Must have a High School Diploma or GED
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Must have one (1) to two (2) years related experience or training
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Modoc Nation Gaming License
May be subject to criminal background investigation
Proficient data entry skills required
Must possess in high integrity regarding confidential and sensitive information
Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Must have the ability to work in fast paced environment, multitask and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

Maintains the cleanliness, safety and sanitation of the Casino and public areas
Knows safe work habits and ensures that team is following safety protocols
Responds to cleaning or grounds keeping requests from other departments
Identifies and reports orders of cleaning supplies and equipment needs to the Maintenance Manager
Assures prompt, courteous service to all guests, internal and external
Maintains cleanliness of casino, restrooms, and offices
Vacuum carpets, empties trash, wipes down trash cans, dusts all areas, and cleans window glass
Operate and maintain all types of cleaning equipment
Ability to use equipment associated with position; including but not limited to the use of vacuum cleaners, mops, brooms and floor machines
Maintains all work areas and ensures environmental services equipment is free of safety violations
Reports any hazardous conditions or broken equipment immediately to management
Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed
Maintains excellent working relationships with other Company staff and all applicable regulatory commissions and other agencies as may be applicable to ensure compliance
Performs all duties in accordance with the gaming operations core values, objectives of the Modoc Nation, system of internal control policies and procedures, as well, as applicable laws and gaming regulations, including but not limited to, the state-tribal compact, IGRA, MICS, the Bank Secrecy Act, Office of Foreign Asset Control, USA Patriot Act and Privacy Act
