About The Position

The Environmental Services (EVS) Trainer monitors the training of new and existing staff, coordinates and screens candidates for the hiring process, and maintains documentation of hiring, education, and orientation for the Franciscan department. The EVS Trainer collaborates with other members of management to integrate department goals and overall hospital goals. This position requires an extremely task-oriented individual whose focus is high standards and accuracy, and must be able to perform tasks of EVS I and II positions.

Requirements

  • IEHA Certification - International Executive Housekeepers Association, Inc. preferred

Responsibilities

  • Monitors the training of new and existing staff.
  • Coordinates and screens candidates for the hiring process.
  • Maintains documentation of hiring, education, and orientation for the Franciscan department.
  • Collaborates with other members of management to integrate department goals and overall hospital goals.
  • Train associates: clean assigned areas; keep assigned areas supplied appropriately at all times; report items needing repair or replacement.
  • Audit and review probationary employees' job specific quality standards.
  • Participate as part of the management team by attending meetings, speaking with staff about procedures and policies, and documenting and addressing concerns with staff during six-month probationary period.
  • Provide input into departmental policies, procedures, and competencies.
