This role involves performing routine cleaning to maintain a clean environment within patient rooms, public areas, lounges, restrooms, and other assigned areas to meet departmental standards. Duties include cleaning rooms and offices, emptying trash and linen receptacles, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, spot cleaning, checking and filling dispensers, cleaning restrooms, dry mopping, and sanitizing floors. The position may also involve making beds, replenishing linens, and potentially performing the destruction of discarded patient health information. Specific tasks include cleaning and polishing furniture and fixtures, cleaning building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming, cleaning windows and mirrors, dusting furniture and equipment, following procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment, gathering and emptying trash and recycling, notifying management of needed repairs, servicing restrooms, extracting or shampooing carpets, and performing routine cleaning of patient rooms, offices, public areas, procedure rooms, and ancillary areas using a specific cleaning method.
