About The Position

This position provides for specialized cleaning of hospital areas assigned on a daily basis. This cleaning includes dusting, mopping, linen collection, waste removal and disposal, bathroom cleaning and cleaning of common areas, offices, patient rooms or specialized areas as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to learn all phases of housekeeping duties and to maintain a favorable productivity level after the training period.
• Ability to learn and understand the importance of EVS role in maintaining cleanliness to prevent infections and hospital aquired illnesses of patients, families, employees, physicians, and others.
• Ability to speak, understand, and read sufficient English to perform the requirements of the position.
• Ability to use basic cleaning equipment such as vaccuum cleaners, mops and other cleaning supplies.
• Ability to perform the essential physical requirements of the position as noted on the job description.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Industrial or Healthcare experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
