About The Position

Perform various housekeeping functions, cleaning, sanitation, and other housekeeping functions observing high-sanitation and safety standards in accordance with hospital policies and procedures as well as State and Federal laws. Perform cleaning procedures of patient rooms and common areas throughout the Hospital. Maintain adequate linen supply for all departments. Remove waste and soiled linens using proper disposal procedures. Operate housekeeping mechanical equipment. As assigned. Ability to read, write, and speak English preferred. Demonstrates the basic knowledge and skills necessary to identify age-specific patient needs appropriate for this position. Treats all information and data within the scope of the position with appropriate confidentiality and security. Cooperates fully in all Risk Management, Quality Management, and Safety Activities and Investigations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior cleaning experience in a health care or institutional setting preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English preferred.
• Demonstrates the basic knowledge and skills necessary to identify age-specific patient needs appropriate for this position.
• Treats all information and data within the scope of the position with appropriate confidentiality and security.
• Cooperates fully in all Risk Management, Quality Management, and Safety Activities and Investigations.
