About The Position

The Environmental Service Technician is responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness within the hospital and adjacent buildings. The role may require traveling from one facility to another without assistance. The technician responds to and initiates communication using phones, handheld radios, pagers, and similar devices.

This is a per-diem evening-shift position at Mercy Medical Center. The stated reasonable compensation estimate is $19.22; starting compensation is determined during applicant selection based on factors such as skills, applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.

Requirements

• One year of knowledge of acute-care hospital environmental service techniques, practices, and procedures is preferred.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Must be able to read, understand, and communicate effectively.
