About The Position

This position performs a wide range of housekeeping tasks and projects including, but not limited to, the cleaning and disinfecting of patient rooms, restrooms, waiting areas, offices, and clinical areas. The role is responsible for the removal of regular trash and bio-hazardous waste, and the operation of equipment such as brooms, mops, vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and upholstery shampooers. The EVS Tech will stock assigned areas with paper towels, hand soap, hand sanitizer, toilet paper, and other supplies, and provide assistance to ensure a safe, clean environment for customers. The position also requires exhibiting the F.I.R.S.T. values (Friendliness, Innovation, Respect, Service, and Trust).

Requirements

• Must be able to move or position 50 lbs. independently.
• Vision must be good or prescribed glasses worn.
• High tolerance for pressure and stress due to task interruption as well as task overload.
• High tolerance for change.

Responsibilities

• Effectively cleans and disinfects assigned area using established protocol and procedures.
• Performs all cleaning tasks in an efficient manner.
• Safely utilizes correct chemicals for each task in the performance of assigned duties.
• Restocks assigned areas with paper towels, soap, sanitizers, toilet paper, etc. as necessary.
• Follows established procedures for the removal of bio-hazardous waste and regular trash.
• Adheres to all universal precautions and isolation procedures.
