About The Position

This position performs a wide range of housekeeping tasks and projects including, but not limited to, the cleaning and disinfecting of patient rooms, restrooms, waiting areas, offices, and clinical areas. The EVS Tech is responsible for the removal of regular trash and bio-hazardous waste, and the operation of equipment such as brooms, mops, vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and upholstery shampooers. This role involves stocking assigned areas with paper towels, hand soap, hand sanitizer, toilet paper, and other supplies, and providing assistance to ensure a safe, clean environment for customers. The position requires exhibiting the F.I.R.S.T. values (Friendliness, Innovation, Respect, Service, and Trust).

Requirements

Must be knowledgeable in the use of all chemicals and all equipment.
May need to carry beeper and answer pages.
Must be able to move or position 50 lbs. independently.
Vision must be good or prescribed glasses worn.

Responsibilities

Effectively cleans and disinfects assigned area using established protocol and procedures.
Performs all cleaning tasks in an efficient manner.
Safely utilizes correct chemicals for each task in the performance of assigned duties.
Restocks assigned areas with paper towels, soap, sanitizers, toilet paper, etc. as necessary.
Follows established procedures for the removal of bio-hazardous waste and regular trash.
Adheres to all universal precautions and isolation procedures.
Contributes to the achievement of the mission and philosophy of the Organization.
Contributes to the effective operations of the Organization by demonstrating dependability and cooperation in job performance.
