About The Position

The Housekeeping Associate II is responsible for the general cleanliness of various areas at the Medical Facilities, including Procedure areas, Wound Care, Emergency Department, GI Lab, Intensive Care Unit patient care areas, restrooms, and all other areas requiring Environmental Services support. This role involves removing trash and linen, distributing linen, and performing routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and surface cleaning. Terminal cleaning of isolation or exam rooms and moving furniture/heavy equipment are also part of the duties. The position requires completing established competencies within a designated introductory period. Responsibilities

• Responsible for the general cleanliness of Procedure areas, Wound Care, Emergency Department, GI Lab, Intensive Care Unit patient care areas, restrooms, and all other areas requiring Environmental Services support at the Medical Facilities
• Removes trash and linen from the hospital using compactor and cardboard baler
• Distributes linen throughout the hospital
• Performs routine work including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, wiping, surface cleaning all floors, walls, ceilings, sinks, mirrors, showers, commodes, windows, and other glass areas, waiting areas and public hallways
• Performs terminal cleaning of isolation rooms or exam rooms as required
• Moves furniture and other heavy equipment as directed
• Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period
• Performs other related duties as assigned
