About The Position
The EVS Tech- Housekeeping position is a Per Diem (PD / PRN) role with variable hours and shifts. The role is located at Pampa Regional Medical Center in Pampa, TX. The primary function is to maintain a high level of cleanliness within the hospital and adjacent buildings to prevent the spread of infections.
Requirements
- Must be able to read, understand and communicate effectively.
Nice To Haves
- One (1) year of knowledge within acute care hospital environmental service techniques, practices and procedures preferred.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas to prevent the spread of infections
- Properly disposing of medical and hazardous waste according to hospital protocols
- Restock supplies like gloves, masks, and cleaning materials in various hospital areas
- Clean and maintain floors, restrooms, and other surfaces using specialized equipment and chemicals
- Respond to urgent cleaning needs such as spills or contamination incidents and communicate promptly using phone, handheld radios, pagers, and other devices
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness within the hospital and adjacent buildings, which may require traveling between facilities independently
