About The Position

Cherokee Casino Roland is seeking an experienced EVS Supervisor to join our growing team. The EVS Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining the overall cleanliness and safety of casino operations, corporate offices, concert venues, and back-of-house areas. They lead teams of EVS Attendants, monitor performance, and enforce cleanliness standards. In addition to supervising daily operations, the EVS Supervisor manages supply inventories, coordinates equipment maintenance, and ensures compliance with safety protocols. This position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to balance operational needs with guest service.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2 years of related experience, including at least 6 months in a leadership role.
  • Knowledge of floor finishes and cleaning techniques for various surfaces (tile, marble, laminate, carpet).
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory/expense control.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain licensing from the appropriate gaming authority.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in environments with smoke, noise, and crowds.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee cleanliness standards across casino floors, corporate areas, concert venues, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Supervise EVS staff performance, ensuring efficiency and adherence to cleanliness expectations.
  • Communicate and enforce safety guidelines related to chemical usage, physical hazards, and workplace safety.
  • Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure routine and thorough cleaning coverage.
  • Identify and address cleaning needs, assembling teams to handle dirt or dust buildup.
  • Maintain and requisition cleaning supplies while monitoring inventory control.
  • Oversee and perform basic maintenance on EVS equipment such as vacuums, scrubbers, and extractors.
  • Coordinate repairs with facilities teams to ensure timely resolution of equipment issues.
  • Assist guests with directions and inquiries, contributing to a positive customer experience.
  • Provide input on hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions within the EVS department.
