About The Position

The EVS Supervisor - Housekeeping is responsible for performing a variety of housekeeping, laundry, and linen tasks, requiring strong supervisory skills. This role involves effectively supervising a staff of 25 or more employees, providing leadership, direction, and equity in dealing with all employees. The supervisor will create an effective and cohesive working relationship with department employees, Department Heads, all hospital staff, and the public. Key responsibilities include ensuring regulatory compliance for sanitation for patients, guests, and employees, and ensuring that public areas are appropriately sanitized to project a strong, positive image. The role also involves generating pertinent policy and procedure to ensure compliance with infection control and sanitation standards, coordinating rental linen and uniform efforts, providing multi-disciplinary support services, and participating in employee awareness and education.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years Housekeeping experience in hospital setting.
  • Familiarity with chemical sanitizers and general housekeeping functions.
