About The Position

The EVS Specialist- PWMC (PRN) is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing rooms, floor furnishings, and surfaces in assigned work areas to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation. This role involves removing waste from containers and placing it in appropriate collection points, demonstrating excellent customer service, and assisting in maintaining a safe environment by reporting any unsafe conditions or hazards. The position also requires technical skill in using appropriate equipment, maintaining it in working order, troubleshooting problems, and adapting to new technology. Additional duties include adhering to attendance and punctuality guidelines, aligning job responsibilities with the organization's core values, mission, and vision, and performing other duties as required. The specialist must maintain current knowledge in their area of responsibility through self-education and ongoing educational programs, attend staff meetings, and complete mandatory in-services and competency evaluations. They must demonstrate competency in providing age-specific care and customer service skills, and wear appropriate protective clothing and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize rooms, floor furnishings and surfaces in assigned work areas following established policies and procedures.
  • Remove waste from waste containers in assigned areas and place in appropriate collection points.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of customer service while performing duties.
  • Assist in ensuring a safe environment is maintained by reporting all unsafe conditions and hazards.
