About The Position

Responsible for implementing and ensuring all housekeeping operations are in accordance with Chukchansi Gold Procedures and high standard levels. This role involves interacting effectively with the public and Team Members, performing excellent customer service, and ensuring all Casino Policies and Procedures are adhered to in the EVS Department. The EVS Manager must ensure that all cleaning materials, chemicals, and equipment are used in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and maintain strict adherence to all OSHA Safety rules and regulations. This position is responsible for the supervision and coordination of EVS staff activities throughout the casino, ensuring approved standards of cleanliness. The EVS Manager makes recommendations for hiring, promotion, evaluation, reward, discipline, and discharge of EVS employees, and assists in selecting, training, scheduling, and evaluating personnel. The role also involves advising management of necessary repairs and replacements in assigned areas and is accountable for the cleanliness and overall condition of public areas, restrooms, and offices. Additional duties may be required, including ushering for events as needed by management. The EVS Manager must maintain consistent and regular attendance and perform any reasonable request made by management.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required with five years minimum experience in housekeeping supervisory position required or Equivalent combination of education and progressive and relevant direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational/experience requirements.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to stand; walk, climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all Casino Policies and Procedures are adhered to in the EVS Department.
  • Ensuring that all cleaning materials, chemicals, and equipment are used in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Maintaining strict adherence that all OSHA Safety rules and regulations are followed.
  • Supervising and coordinating EVS staff activities throughout the casino ensuring approved standards of cleanliness is displayed.
  • Making recommendations and suggestions to hire, promote, evaluate, reward, discipline and discharge of all EVS employees.
  • Assisting in the selecting, training scheduling and evaluating of personnel.
  • Advising management of repairs and replacements necessary in assigned areas.
  • Accountable for cleanliness and overall condition of the public areas, restrooms and offices.
  • Performing other related duties as may be required.
  • Maintaining a consistent and regular attendance record.
  • May be used as an usher as needed by management for events.
  • Performing any reasonable request made by management.
  • Directly supervises all supervisors and lead Environmental Services Attendants; indirectly supervises all Environmental Services Attendants.
