About The Position

This position assists management in the operations of EVS, including the cleaning of the casino, public access areas, and catering/banquet rooms on an assigned shift. The role involves assisting with the instruction and training of EVS staff, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation, and monitoring areas to ensure proper appearance through checklists and visual inspections. The EVS Lead also monitors inventory and supplies, recommends purchases, and performs EVS duties alongside staff as needed. Exceptional customer service is expected, along with maintaining a professional work environment. Duties are subject to change as needed, and hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule. Confidentiality regarding tribal and casino operations is paramount. The role includes maintaining department office supplies, answering phone calls, taking messages, and solving problems or providing information. Assistance to department managers and supervisors is also required.

Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older upon employment.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in the field of environmental services.
  • Must be familiar with proper use of all cleaning equipment and chemicals.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Adequate manual dexterity to operate cleaning equipment.
  • Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum one (1) year of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicate in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner always.
  • Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors and staff.
  • Assist in other projects, as required.
  • Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and managers.
  • Maintain inventory of department office supplies and requisition items on a weekly basis or when needed.
  • Answer phone calls.
  • Take detailed and accurate messages and take initiative to solve problems or provide requested information.
  • Assist the department managers and supervisors as needed.
  • Assist in other duties and projects as assigned.
