About The Position
The EVS/Laundry Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all Environmental Services (EVS) and Laundry operations at the Nursing Facility (SNF). This leader ensures a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents, staff, and visitors in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including Title 22 and CMS guidelines.
Requirements
- Prior experience in EVS/Housekeeping/Laundry management within a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) — this is a firm requirement
- Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory or director-level experience in environmental services, preferably in a long-term care or post-acute setting
- Strong knowledge of infection control, sanitation standards, and regulatory compliance in a SNF environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate, and lead a team
- Proficiency in scheduling, budgeting, and inventory management
- Excellent communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee all housekeeping, environmental services, and laundry functions throughout the facility
- Hire, train, supervise, schedule, and evaluate EVS and laundry staff
- Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and quality control standards
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, OSHA regulations, and SNF/CMS guidelines
- Manage department budget, supply procurement, and inventory control
- Conduct routine inspections of all facility areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met
- Coordinate with nursing, dietary, and other departments to meet resident care needs
- Maintain proper handling, processing, and distribution of resident and facility laundry
- Ensure proper use, storage, and disposal of cleaning chemicals and hazardous materials (MSDS compliance)
- Prepare and submit required reports, logs, and documentation
- Participate in QAPI, survey readiness, and interdisciplinary team meetings
- Respond to and resolve resident and family concerns related to environmental services
