EVS / Janitorial Floor Tech
About The Position
The EVS / Janitorial Floor Tech will help to maintain clean, sanitary, attractive and safe rooms and furnishings in the assigned work areas, following established policies and procedures and utilizing approved methodology and solutions. This role assists the department and hospital in meeting state and local health codes and hospital quality and accreditation standards through procedures which ensure acceptable standards of quality and cleanliness. Duties include routine cleaning of windows, walls, floors, fixtures and furnishings; disposal of ordinary and contaminated refuse; disinfecting of contaminated areas; bacteriological surface cleaning; and pertinent infection control procedures. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school education or GED required
- Must have basic reading and writing skills
- Must be able to meet physical requirements
- 21 years of age
