About The Position

The EVS Heavy Duty Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the casino floor, including gaming areas, restrooms, offices, and other work areas. This role involves detailed cleaning tasks, operating specialized equipment, and ensuring all areas meet high standards of hygiene and order. The position also requires participation in safety training and proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Requirements

  • Ability to monitor casino floor, stairs, mirrors, glass and assigned areas to ensure quality and cleanliness.
  • Ability to maintain appearance of gaming area including dust and polish/disinfect slot machines and seats, cleaning trash from between, behind, and on the floor around slot machines.
  • Ability to completely clean entire casino floor area, vacuuming, cleaning carpets and carpeted areas, ledges, edges, glass.
  • Ability to clean gaming tables as/when requested.
  • Ability to dust and clean all casino signage.
  • Ability to service assigned areas daily, including vacuuming, cleaning and disinfecting of restrooms, ash/trash receptacles, elevators, dusting, polishing, and sweeping.
  • Ability to mop, sweep, and clean restrooms to include sink and mirrors - wall, toilet, vents, dispensers, etc.
  • Ability to clean, sweep, mop and empty trash in offices, lobbies, bar areas, corridors, elevators, locker rooms and other work areas as directed by the supervisor or manager.
  • Ability to monitor bathrooms to ensure that they are always clean and orderly.
  • Ability to maintain all equipment supplies and supply rooms in an orderly manner, as instructed by Supervisor.
  • Ability to remove all trash and recycling from all receptacles and dispose at their designated locations. Operate trash and cardboard compactor following the Standard Operations Guidelines (SOG).
  • Ability to report maintenance needs to Supervisor.
  • Ability to report emergency repairs to Supervisor immediately.
  • Ability to complete special assignments assigned by Supervisor – Public Areas and above as requested.
  • Ability to maintain break room and executive office facilities.
  • Participates in departmental safety and technical training programs.
  • Ability to scrub, strip, wax, and polish hard floors in high-traffic areas.
  • Ability to collect and dispose of large amounts of trash.
  • Ability to utilize specialized cleaning machines like floor scrubbers, carpet extractors, high-pressure cleaners, and industrial vacuums.
  • Ability to wash and scrub walls, ceilings, and high-reach surfaces.
  • Ability to deep clean heavily soiled surfaces, such as grease.
  • Ability to thoroughly clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, and stalls.
  • Depending on the job requirements, additional training on specific cleaning equipment will be required.
  • Ability to perform exterior cleaning such as around compactors and loading docks.
  • Ability to properly manage and dispose of hazardous cleaning chemicals according to safety regulations.

Responsibilities
