About The Position

Oaklawn is seeking a talented individual to become an EVS Attendant. The EVS Attendant is responsible for the daily upkeep of the interior and exterior of the Casino & Resort facility while upholding Oaklawn's Core Values. The role requires presenting a friendly and professional image at the Hotel/Casino and contributing to a team effort. Responsibilities include mixing chemicals, operating cleaning equipment, moving furniture, cleaning assigned areas, and maintaining machines. The position also emphasizes providing excellent guest services, cooperating and communicating with team members, and maintaining good working relationships with other departments. The EVS Attendant may be assigned to various venues based on business needs and must follow established procedures and policies.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to perform the physical job duties of all EVS team members.
• Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
• Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
• All applicants must complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

• Previous housekeeping experience a plus but not required
• High School grad or GED preferred but not required
• Guest service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
• Mixes chemicals and operates carpet shampooer and buffer.
• Moves furniture and cleans assigned area.
• Maintains and cleans machines after use.
• Provides excellent guest services, treating guests and team members with courtesy and consideration at all times.
• Cooperates and communicates with all fellow team members, always exhibiting mutual respect and consistently projecting a positive, helpful image/attitude.
• Maintains excellent working relationships with other departments and all applicable regulatory commissions and vendors as needed.
• May be assigned to various venues throughout the property depending on business needs.
• Follows established procedures and policies of the Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort.
