About The Position
RiverView Health is seeking a full-time Environmental Services Aide for the Operating Room on the night shift. This position is responsible for the daily cleaning and disinfecting of all surgical and outpatient surgery areas to ensure a clean, disinfected, and safe environment for patients, clients, visitors, and staff. The role is scheduled Monday - Friday and offers a pay range of $17.69 - $22.88 per hour plus a night shift differential, based on experience.
Requirements
- One+ years of experience as a cleaner or housekeeper
- Experience working with various cleaning equipment and tools
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch for extended periods
Nice To Haves
- High School diploma/GED is preferred
- Experience with written and verbal communication
- Computer experience – Microsoft Office products
- Valid Driver’s License
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces
- Emptying trash cans and replacing liners
- Ensure all areas are cared for and inspected according to standards
- Notifying supervisor on any damage, deficit(s), and/or disturbances
- Ensure adequate stock of cleaning supplies
- Follow all policy, health, and safety regulations
- Handle and dispose of waste in accordance with hospital regulations
- Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
- Completing assigned work orders
- Preparing rooms for new patients, ensuring that all surfaces, equipment and linens are clean
- Cleaning patient rooms, offices, and public areas, ensuring that they meet health and safety standards
- Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and tools
