About The Position

Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary healthcare environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Performs a variety of environmental services duties to ensure hospital facilities meet cleanliness, infection prevention, and safety standards.

Requirements

Experience working with the cleaning equipment and chemicals used in hospitals and healthcare centers (2-3 years required)
Strong organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently but also be a team player.
Good communication and comprehension skills.

Responsibilities

Sweeps, mops, strips, waxes, and polishes floors; vacuums and shampoos carpets.
Dusts and cleans furniture, fixtures, equipment, and other surfaces throughout assigned areas.
Washes walls, ceilings, windows, blinds, door glass, and other building surfaces.
Empties, cleans, and sanitizes trash and waste receptacles.
Cleans and disinfects restroom facilities, including sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, walls, and drinking fountains; replenishes supplies as needed.
Removes debris and maintains the cleanliness of building exteriors and surrounding areas.
Operates and maintains floor care equipment, including high- and low-speed buffers, scrubbers, and stripping machines.
Sets up and arranges tables, chairs, and equipment for meetings, special events, and routine hospital activities.
Identifies and reports maintenance, safety, and repair issues within assigned areas.
Follows infection prevention, safety, and environmental services protocols to maintain regulatory compliance and support a safe healthcare environment.
Interacts professionally with patients, visitors, and staff while maintaining a customer service-focused approach.
