The Executive Vice President (EVP) of Sales is responsible for developing and executing the company's overall sales strategy to drive revenue growth, market expansion, and long-term profitability. This executive leader oversees all sales functions, builds a high-performing sales organization, and establishes strategic partnerships to strengthen the company's market position. The EVP of Sales collaborates closely with executive leadership to align sales initiatives with corporate objectives while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and customer success. This role provides leadership across wholesale, correspondent, retail, and strategic sales channels while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company risk standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance or related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience.
  • 8+ years leading large, multi-state sales organizations.
  • Extensive executive leadership experience within mortgage lending, financial services, or banking.
  • Demonstrated success scaling national sales organizations and exceeding revenue goals.
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong executive presence with exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of Non-QM, Conventional, FHA, VA, Jumbo, and DSCR loan products.
  • Experience leading Wholesale, Correspondent, and Retail mortgage sales channels.
  • Strong relationships throughout the mortgage broker and lending community.
  • Understanding of mortgage operations, underwriting, secondary marketing, and capital markets.
  • Knowledge of CFPB, RESPA, TILA, ECOA, Fair Lending, and other mortgage regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company's national sales strategy to achieve aggressive production and revenue goals.
  • Lead and mentor Sales/Account Executives.
  • Establish annual sales objectives, budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
  • Drive market expansion by identifying new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and emerging markets.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align sales initiatives with overall business strategy.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, brokers, strategic partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities.
  • Partner with Marketing to develop campaigns, product positioning, and lead generation initiatives.
  • Work closely with Operations, Underwriting, Secondary Marketing, Capital Markets, Credit, and Compliance to improve service levels and customer experience.
  • Monitor sales pipeline, conversion metrics, production trends, and profitability.
  • Develop compensation plans, incentive programs, and sales contests that drive performance while supporting company profitability.
  • Implement sales technology, CRM systems, reporting tools, and performance dashboards.
  • Ensure adherence to all federal, state, investor, and company regulatory requirements.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
  • Provide strategic direction for all sales functions.
  • Build a culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Coach leaders on performance management and employee development.
  • Establish succession planning and leadership development initiatives.
  • Foster strong cross-functional communication across the organization.
