About The Position

The Evisceration Technician works on a rotation basis and is expected to be fluent in all evisceration production work. The role performs all positions on the evisceration line and contributes as a member of the team, coordinating work with teammates and supporting team concepts, programs, policies, and operating practices. The technician attends appropriate team meetings and supports team cohesion and organizational objectives.

The position requires working efficiently in a plant environment. Team members are expected to understand Simmons’ established operating systems, including quality, security, office environment, company policies, and LEAN, and to communicate concerns and improvement ideas. Other duties may be assigned in support of business objectives.

Requirements

• Ability to work efficiently in a plant environment.
• Ability to stand, reach, and move about the facility regularly.
• May need basic math skills, depending on the line position.
• May need knowledge of English-language vocabulary, spelling, composition, and grammar, depending on the line position.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred experience working around machinery.
• Working knowledge of a processing facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform all positions on the evisceration production line.
• Participate as a member of the team and contribute to the development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies.
• Coordinate work with team members to ensure best practices.
• Attend appropriate team meetings.
• Help maintain team cohesion by identifying and raising issues to the team leader and working with the team to resolve them.
• Understand and support Simmons’ operating systems, including quality, security, office environment, company policies, and LEAN.
• Communicate concerns and ideas for improvement.
• Perform other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
