About The Position

This position requires fluency in all evisceration production work on a rotation basis. The Evisceration Tech SS will perform all positions on the line in evisceration and participate as a member of the Team. This includes participating in the ongoing development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies, coordinating work to ensure best practices with all team members, and attending appropriate team meetings. As a member of the Team, the individual will foster strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues such as direction, annual plan, budget, and policy changes. They will accept responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways to achieve synergy within the larger organization. The role also involves understanding Simmons' established operating systems (e.g., quality, security, office environment, company policies, LEAN) and the responsibility to maintain familiarity with these systems and the position's role in supporting them, including considering the impact of individual actions and communicating concerns and improvement ideas. The position may require performing other duties as necessary in support of business objectives. The role is designed to guide activities but not limit creativity or the scope of work.

Requirements

  • Be able to efficiently work in a plant environment.
  • Regularly required to stand, reach and move about the facility.
  • Light to moderate physical effort required.
  • Will use waterproof footwear, gloves, apron, hearing protection, hair net(s) and other protective equipment as needed.
