This role involves coordinating and ensuring the success of group events. The Events Specialist will meet with group coordinators and hosts prior to functions to ensure all arrangements are satisfactory. A key responsibility is to analyze banquet event orders to understand guest needs, determine setup requirements, timelines, and specific details for buffets and action stations. The specialist will also be responsible for fulfilling special banquet event arrangements and following up to ensure compliance. Additionally, the role requires adherence to all company policies, including safety and security procedures, reporting any accidents or unsafe conditions, and completing safety training. Maintaining a professional appearance, protecting company assets, and providing excellent guest service are also crucial. This includes welcoming guests, anticipating their needs, and maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues to support team goals and quality standards. The job also involves reading various formats of information, inspecting equipment, and performing physical tasks such as standing, sitting, walking, and lifting objects up to 25 pounds. Other duties may be assigned by supervisors.
