Oaknoll has an exciting new opportunity for a full-time Events & Recreation Coordinator. As an Events & Recreation Coordinator you would be responsible for not only planning and implementing programs and recreational activities for our residents, but promoting an engaging and community driven lifestyle here at Oaknoll. Oaknoll is a not-for-profit community that provides resident-centered care and services through our CREATE culture. CREATE is an acronym for our values: caring, respect, enthusiasm, awareness, teamwork, and encouragement. We believe that people should experience joyful, active, and connected lives as they age. We believe people should have the opportunity to receive competent, caring, and compassionate health care when they need it. We believe our community is both special and unique because of the people who live here, the people who work here, and the relationships that they build together. We strive to make the lives of our residents and our staff meaningful and fulfilling. If you want to share in these values and the relationships that they allow us to build, we are looking for YOU! Oaknoll is seeking an Events & Recreation Coordinator to join our Recreation Department working full-time hours. The exact schedule may vary with the needs of different events, and would include overseeing our evening programming. The qualified candidate would be responsible for planning and organizing events and programs across all Oaknoll locations, coordinating with residents, volunteers, and other departments to ensure events and programs are professionally executed. This will include preparing event spaces and restoring areas used for events afterwards, overseeing programs by introducing and assisting speakers, presenters, entertainers and staff with technology setup and operation, including microphones, speakers, laptops, projectors, and other sound systems. They will also assist the Recreation Director in their duties in developing and leading recreation programming as needed. Other duties include, but are not limited to; providing one-on-one recreational activities for residents as needed, providing occasional coverage for the reception desk at our East Campus, participating in and supporting the overall quality of life of our residents, including monitoring and reporting changes in resident well-being and behavior. Some holidays and weekends may be required as called for by events.
