Events Producer

WhatnotNew York, NY
$126,000 - $140,000Remote

About The Position

Whatnot is the largest livestream shopping platform in North America and Europe. We are looking for a strategic, highly organized Events Producer to own and execute a portfolio of high-impact tradeshows and experiential activations. This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution, requiring someone who can zoom out to define the “why” while also diving deep into the “how.” You will own the end-to-end execution of Whatnot’s event presence, ensuring every activation delivers a consistent, compelling, and measurable brand experience. From planning and logistics to production and onsite execution, you’ll be the driving force behind bringing our events to life. This role requires a true event chameleon, someone who can seamlessly shift from managing operations behind the scenes to engaging directly with sellers and partners on the show floor. You’ll serve as a trusted ambassador for Whatnot, confidently articulating our vision, demonstrating the value of our platform, and helping sellers understand why Whatnot is shaping the future of commerce.

Requirements

  • 4-7 years experience with tradeshow logistics, vendors, and on-site execution
  • Understand both the “why” behind events and the “how” to execute them
  • Track record of navigating ambiguity and solving problems independently
  • Cross-functional collaboration and the ability to flex up or down based on the needs of the specific event will be paramount
  • Instinctively put yourself in the attendee’s shoes, designing experiences that resonate and elevate the brand
  • Strong understanding of event tech/AV setups; able to troubleshoot independently (OBS experience a plus)
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Experience creating scalable systems (inventory, logistics, playbooks) from the ground up
  • This role will be attending a good amount of IRL events throughout the year, both US and internal (a valid passport is required)
  • Comfortable managing budgets, tradeoffs, and ROI
