Events Lead

ColumnSan Francisco, CA
1d$160,000 - $200,000Onsite

About The Position

In Column's Events role, your mandate is to architect and execute our most important brand moments end-to-end: strategy, creative direction, and flawless execution. You’ll partner directly with our CEO, Go-to-Market team, and Workplace Experience team to ensure every experience Column produces feels intentional, considered, and a direct expression of who we are as a company. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role that requires equal parts vision and operational precision. You’ll thrive here if you love rolling up your sleeves, sweat every detail, and know that how something is experienced often matters as much as what is said. This role is based in our San Francisco HQ and is expected to be in-person 4 days/week. Regular travel to conferences and events (domestic and international) should be expected.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in event production, experiential marketing, or brand activation roles—ideally at a high-growth startup or creative agency.
  • Demonstrated success executing high-profile, detail-rich events under tight timelines.
  • Outstanding project management skills and ability to multitask in fast-paced environments.
  • A strong aesthetic sensibility and eye for brand cohesion.
  • Scrappy, resourceful, and humble—you’re just as comfortable building a strategy deck as you are taping down cables.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfort interfacing with executives and VIPs.
  • Willingness to travel and adapt on the fly.

Responsibilities

  • Own strategy and execution for Column's highest-stakes internal and external moments — customer-facing events, company offsites, board meetings, brand activations, and conference presence.
  • Partner with our Workplace Experience Manager to build employee engagement programming that reflects and reinforces Column's culture.
  • Run the full production stack: vendor sourcing, venue selection, creative direction, communications, budget management, and day-of execution.
  • Work with GTM to develop event strategies that generate pipeline and deepen relationships with the people who matter most to our business.
  • Be on the ground at high-priority events — present, adaptable, and always three steps ahead.
  • Contribute to broader marketing campaigns and brand initiatives as Column continues to grow.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision plans, including options that are 100% covered by Column for you and 100% covered for your dependents!

  • FSA and HSA account options to enable use of pre-tax money for medical and dependent care expenses

  • Flexible time-off policy - take the time off that you want and need to relax and recharge
  • 100% paid parental leave, including 16 weeks for birth mothers, 12 weeks for primary caregivers, and 8 weeks for secondary caregivers
  • Catered lunches and dinners for SF employees
  • Commuter benefits
