The Events & Catering Supervisor plays a key role in leading event service teams, ensuring every detail is executed with precision, professionalism, and genuine hospitality. This role supports the Banquet Manager by overseeing event setup, service, and breakdown while guiding team members to deliver a polished and memorable guest experience.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in banquets, catering, or hospitality service required
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of banquet service standards and event operations
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Professional, polished, and guest-focused demeanor
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Supervise banquet and catering staff during events, ensuring service standards are consistently met
  • Oversee event setup, service execution, and breakdown in accordance with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
  • Provide direction and support to servers, bartenders, and housepersons during events
  • Ensure event spaces are properly set, clean, and organized at all times
  • Monitor service flow and address any operational issues promptly
  • Serve as a point of contact for team members and assist with guest needs as they arise
  • Ensure adherence to service standards, safety procedures, and sanitation guidelines
  • Assist with training and onboarding of banquet team members
  • Maintain clear communication with Banquet Manager, Culinary team, and other departments
  • Support inventory control and proper handling of equipment and supplies
