About The Position

The Sunset Terrace is seeking an entrepreneurial, sales-driven, and well-connected San Antonio professional to help grow one of the city’s most distinctive rooftop event venues. This is a freelance/independent contractor opportunity with commission-based compensation, designed for someone who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities, generating business, and helping bring exceptional events to life. The ideal candidate is local to San Antonio, deeply familiar with the city, and already connected within the local business, hospitality, events, and social community. This role involves working directly with the Owner & Creative Director to leverage her experience with the candidate's local knowledge and connections to establish The Sunset Terrace as a distinctive destination for various types of events.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new leads and actively pursue event business.
  • Build relationships with local companies, event planners, hotels, nonprofits, organizations, luxury brands, and hospitality partners.
  • Develop corporate, private, and social event opportunities.
  • Respond to inquiries and conduct venue tours.
  • Prepare proposals, follow up with prospective clients, and help convert leads into bookings.
  • Maintain professional client communication from initial inquiry through event follow-up.
  • Help develop creative event concepts and revenue-generating experiences.
  • Assist with local marketing initiatives, networking, partnerships, and community outreach.
  • Coordinate with trusted vendors and event professionals as needed.
  • Help develop attractive event packages and additional revenue opportunities.
  • Support event coordination and venue operations when needed.
  • Maintain an organized pipeline of leads, tours, proposals, follow-ups, and confirmed events.
  • Meet regularly with ownership to review opportunities, priorities, upcoming events, and results.
