About The Position

A mission-driven nonprofit is seeking a reliable, professional Events Assistant to support community outreach during the FIFA tournament in Philadelphia. This is a part-time, temporary role, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with the public, supporting volunteers, and helping ensure events run smoothly. The Events Assistant will serve as the primary on-site support person for the Organization’s booth, assisting with setup, volunteer coordination, and general event operations.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of Event Support experience
  • Reliability and punctuality are essential
  • Professional, friendly, and presentable demeanor
  • Comfortable interacting with volunteers and the public
  • Ability to work independently and follow event instructions
  • Ability to stand and move around for the duration of the shift

Nice To Haves

  • Passionate about Healthcare or a Soccer fan
  • Previous event, customer service, hospitality, or volunteer experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Open and set up the event booth before each shift
  • Ensure booth materials are organized, presentable, and ready for visitors
  • Welcome and engage attendees in a friendly and professional manner
  • Support and assist event volunteers throughout each shift
  • Provide general event support and help maintain a positive guest experience
  • Monitor booth operations and communicate any issues to event leadership
