The Events & Promotions Specialist assists the Promotions & Events Manager, as well as the rest of the marketing team in creating, promoting & executing various public and private events, both on and off Hosier Park Property. This role involves developing, planning, and executing special events and promotions, contributing to program development, and assisting the Manager with contract submissions, approvals, and other necessary company documents. The specialist will also create and control accurate player lists, maintain security and confidentiality of records, and establish effective working relationships with other departments and vendors to arrange for event necessities like food, beverages, decorations, gifts, and entertainment. Additionally, the role requires accurate tracking of expenses, communication of event reservation procedures and attendance, coordination of approved events within budgetary guidelines, and communication of the event schedule and details to the property. Record keeping, project management, and meeting timelines are crucial, as is attention to detail and follow-through. The position also involves processing cash transactions and assisting with the Total Rewards Center as needed, adhering to all company policies and procedures, and acting as a role model.
