About The Position

The Events and Operations Associate at J-PAL North America works closely with the policy, research & training teams to plan and execute a wide-variety of inclusive in-person, hybrid and virtual events, meetings, and training programs aimed at promoting the production and use of rigorous evidence. This role also plans and executes internal staff meetings and events and supports some office operations. The associate provides input into the development of event strategy and offers outreach and support for marketing activities associated with events. Primary tasks involve event planning and logistics management, event analysis, reporting, and systems maintenance.

Requirements

  • A bachelor degree or equivalent
  • Two years of event planning experience
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Clear and persuasive verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to delegate and collaborate effectively with staff and stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to respond to problems, issues, and opportunities independently and collaborate as needed to identify a solution or response
  • Proficient in Zoom, Salesforce, Asana, Google Drive and/or able to quickly learn new technologies
