About The Position

This is a paid, part-time position (up to 16 hours per month) with a rate of $20 per hour, located in Summerville, SC. The role involves creating and providing an excellent Apartment Life (AL) experience to residents and staff in an apartment community. Coordinators are expected to be passionate about the AL vision and mission, combining this passion with skills to plan excellent events, provide exceptional personal communication, and offer genuine care and hospitality. The position aims to impact the community and the lives of apartment residents by "doing business as a ministry," integrating business excellence with neighborly care. The ideal candidate is mission-minded, highly relational, responsible, enjoys meeting new people, planning social activities, and helping others experience God's unconditional love.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Basic fluency in English for composing marketing materials and property management reports.
  • Possess a current driver's license and liability insurance.
  • Access to reliable transportation for duties like shopping and vendor connections.
  • Physically able to use stairs, bend, sit, stand, stoop, and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Availability for weekly hours, primarily in the evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to commit to the minimum term for serving in the apartment community.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and host 2 concierge-level events each month for residents to foster care, connection, and introduce them to community services or local businesses.
  • Provide a caring touch to residents and staff with the assistance of other residents and a support network.
  • Enhance online reputation by encouraging residents to share their community experiences online.
  • Develop marketing materials for activities, including monthly calendars, event flyers, and social media posts.
  • Manage the event budget process.
  • Prepare monthly summaries.
  • Meet with staff and the program director for planning, equipping, and development.
  • Engage a support team of volunteers, vendors, and community partners to maximize impact.
