About The Position

This is a part-time, 12-hour per week role serving a community in Buckeye, AZ. The coordinator will live onsite and receive discounted rent as compensation, as this is not a paid position. The ideal candidate is mission-minded, highly relational, and responsible, with a passion for planning social activities and helping residents experience God's unconditional love. This role involves "business as a ministry," blending business excellence with neighborly love. The work can be completed during business hours, evenings, and weekends.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Basic fluency in English for composing marketing materials and reports.
  • Possess a current driver's license and liability insurance.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Physically able to use stairs, bend, sit, stand, stoop, and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Availability to commit weekly hours, primarily in the evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to commit to the minimum term for serving in the apartment community.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous event planning experience.
  • Experience working within a budget.
  • Some relevant experience using social media.
  • A network of support through potential volunteers, vendors, or community partners.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and host 2 events each month for residents to foster care, connection, and engagement with the wider community.
  • Provide a caring touch to residents and staff, leveraging other residents and community support networks.
  • Enhance the community's online reputation by encouraging residents to share their experiences.
  • Develop marketing materials for activities, including monthly calendars, event flyers, and social media posts.
  • Manage the event budget process.
  • Prepare monthly summaries.
  • Meet with staff and the program director for planning, equipping, and development.
  • Engage a support team of volunteers, vendors, and community partners to maximize impact.
  • Visit new residents and those nearing the end of their lease to build connections.
