About The Position

The Events and Engagement Coordinator develops and implements outreach events for the Colorado Business Unit, coordinates key activities for the Young Professionals program, elevates brand awareness and coordinates our outreach partnerships. The Nature Conservancy is looking for an Events and Engagement Coordinator to plan engaging events, support volunteer and community outreach, and help grow conservation awareness across Colorado. In this role, you’ll coordinate public and private events, support the 13ers Advisory Council, manage event communications and logistics, and work with partners, volunteers, and TNC staff to create meaningful experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, business or related field and a minimum of 3 years related experience or equivalent combination.
  • Experience overseeing staff, volunteers and/or project teams.
  • Experienced in community relations or relationship building.
  • Experience facilitating hybrid and virtual meetings using videoconferencing platforms, webinar tools, and related event technology.
  • Experience in event planning and management.
  • Demonstrated public speaking experience.
  • Experience working with large databases, such as a CRM to enter and pull data.
  • Experience using third-party email marketing system, such as MailChimp, to create branded emails and newsletters.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle record in accordance with TNC standards.
  • Employees may not drive Conservancy-owned/leased vehicles, rental cars, or personal vehicles on behalf of the Conservancy if considered "high risk drivers."
  • Employment in this position will be contingent upon completion of a Vehicle Use Agreement, which may include a review of the prospective employee's motor vehicle record.

  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Volunteer management and training experience.
