About The Position

Are you passionate about bringing people together and building inspiring, memorable experiences? The Amazon Seller Events Team (ASET) is seeking a high-judgment, detail-oriented, and results-driven event technology professional to help manage highly visible, large-scale technology products for seller events. The Event Technology Manager will join the Event Tech and Analytics team on the Amazon Seller Events Team (ASET). In this role, you will own end-to-end execution of key event technology products from requirements gathering through deployment and support. You will be the directly responsible individual for specific platform areas including AirTable Integration, post launch microsite + Passkey change management, mobile app, Q&A, polling, session catalog, agenda builder, attendee portal, table seating, and onsite push notifications. You will join a team of subject matter experts on event technology services and product offerings, aligned to the strategic goals of the team and organization. You will work closely with internal stakeholders including marketing, content, and creative teams to ensure a seamless, best-in-class technology experience, and provide stakeholders with thorough insights and recommendations. This position will lead innovation through data-driven observations leading to relevant, actionable recommendations, which improve event design and attendee experiences. As part of each deployment and onboarding of new platforms, you may also manage the security reviews and approvals in conjunction with Amazon Information Security (InfoSec) teams. The ideal candidate has proven experience in event technology management and can demonstrate success and leadership. They will own goals and identify the relevant event technology needs to achieve those goals, while overseeing a variety of partners to ensure all stakeholders are working together to deliver a high-quality experience for event participants. To be successful in this role, candidates need to be creative, solutions focused and driven to deliver exceptional event experiences. Qualified candidates will be considered from Remote Locations throughout States in the US, including but not limited to; California, Maryland, New York, Virginia, Washington State and Washington DC.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • Experience communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional organization
  • Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint)
  • 5+ years of event technology experience covering the life cycle of requirements gathering, evaluation, design, implementation, integration, development, deployment, training, and support
  • 3+ years of functional experience working with event technology platforms and tools, including microsites, mobile apps, agenda management, Passkey, and AirTable
  • Experience making difficult tradeoffs and articulating recommendations to stakeholders
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively while executing methodically
  • Ambitious self-starter with demonstrated ability and willingness to roll up sleeves and execute to get the job done
  • Strong drive for results, with the ability to manage independently and take calculated risks

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
  • Experience with HTML, XML and SQL
  • Cvent experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with marketing, CRM, and analytics tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Pardot, Salesforce, QuickSuite)
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency and productivity, with the ability to craft effective prompts and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs in a professional setting
  • Experience identifying opportunities to integrate AI solutions into products and services to drive business value

Responsibilities

  • Manage session catalog and agenda builder execution
  • Oversee session scanning technology and deployment
  • Support attendee management processes
  • Coordinate with 3P vendors during build, testing, and deployment phases
  • Manage AirTable integration for event data management and workflow automation
  • Oversee post-microsite and Passkey change management processes
  • Lead strategy, development, and execution on attendee portal for post-registration engagement
  • Manage table seating technology and logistics
  • Oversee mobile app functionality including Q&A, polling, and push notifications
  • Develop and execute training programs for onsite technology items
  • Identify and implement AI efficiencies across the events space
  • Lead innovation through data-driven observations and actionable recommendations
  • Continually test, measure, and evolve technology solutions
  • Collaborate with marketing, content, and creative teams to deliver cohesive experiences
  • Provide thorough insights and analytics services to leadership
  • Serve as an on-site point of contact for 3P event tech partners
  • Manage security reviews and approvals in conjunction with Amazon Information Security (InfoSec) teams for the product areas you own
