About The Position

Providing exceptional customer service to our guests. This role involves preparing and providing services for various events such as meetings, banquets, weddings, and concerts. Key responsibilities include setting up and tearing down event spaces, serving food and beverages, and collaborating with the culinary team and other staff to ensure seamless event execution. The position requires adherence to the Scout Oath and Law, maintaining a clean work area, and performing additional duties as assigned by leadership. This is a seasonal role.

Requirements

Minimum age: 18+
Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)
Ability to stand, walk, and hike up to 14 hours daily
Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record , including height/weight guidelines

Nice To Haves

Experience in events, banquets, or food and beverage operations.
Strong time management and prioritization skills and ability to work independently.
High emotional intelligence (such as self/social awareness and team dynamics)
Positive and cheerful attitude with a strong customer-service focus
Adaptability in a fast-paced environment with ability to learn/develop hard and soft skills
Ability to connect with individuals from diverse age groups, maturity, and backgrounds

Responsibilities

Preparing and providing services for events such as meetings, banquets, weddings, concerts, etc.
Reading and preparing banquet spaces to event specifications prepared by leadership
Setting up and tearing down tables, chairs, linens, flatware, glassware, dinner and drink buffets
Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and courteous manner
Collaborating with culinary team and other staff to ensure seamless event execution
Consistently adhere to dress code
Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions
Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area
Perform additional duties assigned by SBR leadership
Abide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbook
