About The Position
The Facilities Department is seeking a Temporary Event Support Material Handler to assist with commencement setup activities. This role involves preparing event spaces, moving furniture and materials, and supporting event logistics during a busy commencement week.
Requirements
- Must dress appropriately, including sturdy shoes or sneakers.
- Must be available to work at all scheduled dates and times.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience with event setup or related tasks.
Responsibilities
- Set up and dismantle tables, chairs, tents, and other event infrastructure
- Read and interpret event sheets and oral instructions to determine tasks and material needs
- Move furniture and materials to and from classrooms, offices, storage areas, loading docks, and delivery vehicles.
- Assist with other commencement-related tasks as needed
