About The Position

Sonny's Place is locally owned and committed to providing safe, fun, and entertaining activities for families in Western New England communities. Since opening in 2008, Sonny's Place has continually invested in expanding its offerings, starting with a driving range and adding more attractions annually, including the Monkey Mayhem Miniature Golf Course and Bumper Boats. Named in honor of the owner's father, Sonny's Place emphasizes strengthening family ties through shared fun. The Event Staff position is responsible for preparing the banquet area from start to finish for events, maintaining a clean work environment, and providing excellent customer service. Availability during nights, weekends, and holidays is essential.

  • Able to work a weekend, night, and holiday schedule.

Nice To Haves

  • Banquet server or Restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a representative of Sonny's Place to the team and guests.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly facility, including workstations, restrooms, and tables.
  • Set up and break down seating/dining areas and buffet tables, including supplies, according to the banquet event order.
  • Serve and replenish buffet food.
  • Adhere to all food and safety guidelines.
  • Communicate guest needs and company standards to the Banquet Supervisor.
  • Handle challenging guest service conversations according to company standards.
  • Maintain reasonable, regular, and punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Adapt to changing duties as required based on business needs.
