About The Position

Legends Global, which manages several venues in El Paso, is seeking an Event Staff member for the El Paso Convention & Performing Arts Center. This role involves performing various skilled and unskilled duties related to scheduled events under immediate supervision.

Requirements

Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, patrons, employees, exhibitors, and others encountered in the course of employment.
Considerable knowledge of office practices and procedures.
Follow oral and written instructions.
Communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
Remain flexible.
Demonstrate skills in customer relations, communications, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

Assist and direct patrons to appropriate destinations such as concessions and restrooms.
Serve as a ticket taker and/or usher, distributing programs and escorting patrons to their seats.
Assist with last-minute pre-event needs like set-up, decorating, and finding materials.
Provide special accommodations for patrons with wheelchairs, physical handicaps, senior citizens, students, and groups.
Ensure the safety of patrons, staff, vendors, participants, and others on the premises.
Assist in controlling unusual circumstances and events during emergencies such as fire, storm, or riots.
Assist with crowd control both inside and outside the premises.
Handle disturbances or problems that arise during an event or at the facility.
Escort disruptive individuals to the security office and/or off premises if necessary.
Report any problems concerning the event to the Event Managers.
Resolve problems and address complaints as they arise, working effectively under pressure to produce accurate results.
Perform other duties as assigned.
