About The Position

Boston College is seeking an Event Staff Custodian to work after BC Football games. This role involves all Housekeeping duties, including cleaning, vacuuming, trash removal, project work, recycling, and spot cleaning. The custodian will also perform major project work such as machining and refinishing floors, shampooing carpets, and washing walls. Additionally, the role includes clearing trash from entranceways and removing snow during winter. Availability after specific BC Football games and other sporting events throughout the year is required.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate/comprehend both verbally and in writing, including reading work schedules and label warnings, writing work orders, taking direction, and communicating with staff, students, and faculty.
• Resume or job history encouraged.
• Ability to perform heavy and repetitive physical labor, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must be available weekends.
• Must be available to work after specified BC Football games.

Responsibilities

• Perform all Housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Clean, vacuum, and remove trash.
• Perform project work, including recycling and spot cleaning carpets and brite work.
• Undertake major project work such as machining and refinishing floors, shampooing carpets, and washing walls.
• Clear trash from entrance ways.
• Remove snow during the winter.
• Be available to work after specified BC Football games and other sporting events throughout the year.
