About The Position

The Event Specialist will help ensure a high level of customer service is provided to events and conferences taking place at the Carolina Union. This includes answering client questions and resolving event day-of needs. The role also supports the maintenance, inventory, and delivery of lighting, audio, and projection equipment for performance venues, meeting rooms, and off-site programs. The Event Specialist will work with Event Managers to ensure successful event support and assist in the supervision and training of student event staff. This position is part of the Event Services team and communicates regularly via meetings, the 25Live scheduling platform, and email regarding event support needs and production updates.

Requirements

  • Experience in event support.
  • Knowledge of lighting, audio, and projection equipment.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Ability to work with a team.
  • Communication skills.
