About The Position

Arizona Athletic Grounds (AAG) is one of the nation’s largest youth sports and event facilities, featuring fields, courts, stadiums, fitness facilities, and more for a wide range of competition. This role supports all aspects of indoor and outdoor event operations for major events such as professional soccer, top-tier basketball & volleyball, professional boxing, MMA, NCAA viewing tournaments, national pickleball competitions, cheer and gymnastics showcases, special events and markets. The position requires availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays for most available work hours, as hours will change due to event needs. The company is an equal opportunity employer.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to use power tools.
  • Must be able to pull carts.
  • Must be able to stand, kneel, reach, and bend for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule depending on event including late nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check is required for any job offer.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous forklift experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Executing event set ups, conversions, stage builds and strikes, youth sporting events, concerts, and special events.
  • Setting up and breaking down stage platforms, risers, bleachers, volleyball nets and/or other athletic equipment.
  • Transporting a variety of equipment from one location to another using hands, carts, trucks etc.
  • Exhibiting and delivering exceptional guest services to all AZ Grounds visitors, users, vendors, and internal partners.
  • Participating and at times leading guest services meetings and training sessions.
  • Maintaining client/vendor storage areas (offsite and onsite).
  • Ensuring safety protocols are upheld for a safe environment.
  • Serving as a liaison for all park clients contracted at the facility to ensure the highest level of guest service for all external service providers.
  • Making immediate decisions and communicating with all users of the facility in an emergency situation.
  • Working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
