About The Position

Fern is a leader in the trade show and expo service industry, with operations in over 200 cities across the country. We are seeking an Event Services Representative to ensure exceptional customer service for exhibitors throughout their events. This role requires travel to various events and availability for overtime, including weekends, based on event schedules. The position can be performed remotely, but candidates must be based in the Minneapolis area and able to travel to shows.

Requirements

• 2 or more years of customer service experience.
• Strong computer knowledge, with proficiency in Microsoft Office/365 products, emphasizing Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn internal systems (exhibitor portal, graphics system, order system, etc.).
• Experience working independently and as a team player.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Confident, assertive, flexible, and able to work well under pressure in a time-critical environment.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
• Maintain a positive "can-do" attitude.

• Comfortable with traveling 20-30% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries and requests via phone, email, web chat, and occasionally onsite at the event.
• Travel locally to provide onsite exhibitor services at tradeshows at least 50% of the year.
• Assist exhibitors with orders and questions at the Service Desk at the show site.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager, Freight Representative, Labor Representative, and Account Executive to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of materials and labor.
• Process exhibitor orders, receiving reports, labor orders, display and graphic rental orders, and bills of lading.
• Perform collection duties.
• Address customer-related issues independently and escalate when necessary.
• Identify opportunities to sell Fern products and services to exhibiting organizations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
